Biking Adventure (RUJIŠTE- BORAČKO LAKE + NERETVA RAFTING)
A real treat for mountain biking lovers begins on the mountain pearl Rujište, located at the foot of Mount Prenj, one of the main sections of the Via Dinarica White trail.
It is located 19 kilometers from Mostar, at an altitude of 1050m. It is extremely rich in forests and diverse vegetation. Our adventure begins with guest pick up in Mostar, at the previously agreed location and drive to Rujište. At Rujište we check in at Rujište Lodge, followed by dinner and overnight stay. After waking up and having breakfast in the early morning, the MTB adventure continues in front of the Rujište Lodge, and will take us all the way to Boračko Lake.
The trail leads past two necropolises of medieval stećak tombstones: one below the turn for Nevesinje, and the other at Bahtijevici area. At the end of Bahtijevici, where the trail continues to the west, there is a lookout point with a beautiful view of Visočica mountain and the canyons of the Neretva and Rakitnica. Our journey continues to the village Borci. In Borci there is Šantić's villa and the tomb of the painter Lazar Drljača, and not so far from that place is a very interesting and one of the most beautiful necropolises of stećak tombstones.The trail descends from Borci to a settlement with cottages and a recreational zone on Boracko Lake.
This mountain bike tour has been ranked by National Geographic magazine as one of the top 10 destinations in Europe to visit and experience.
In terms of terrain configuration and length, this trail is considered to be medium easy, so it is certainly suitable for beginners and recreationists. The surface is a combination of asphalt, paved earth, macadam, with smaller stones. The ride length is approximately 6 hours.
Upon arrival at Boračko Lake we will have lunch, and the rest of the day we enjoy free time, swimming. After we spent the day at the Boračko lake we return to Rujište lodge. We end this wonderful day followed by dinner and overnight stay.
And like a cherry on top, the last day of our adventure is reserved for a full day of rafting on the Neretva river, where breakfast and lunch (barbecue) will be served. After the end of rafting, we return to Mostar and say goodbye to each other, richer for another experience and a new life adventure.
